Jerke was also Champion of his Keuring and the obvious standout stallion of his year. He has very good conformation with an upward build with notable long forelegs. His neck shows a lot of vertical frontage. Jerke is a typical Friesian type horse with a lot of presence. This honest, trustworthy stallion is a good worker. His walk is of good length with enough action and ‘tact’. The trot is also of good length with high active knee action. This also counts for the hind legs that are placed very well under. He shows his lovely uphill movement with good use of the back.
Jerke is a son of Onne and bred from the very well known mare line of Reina van de Wittewijk, who was a Champion of the Central Mare Keuring. Out of this mare line came many well known selection horses and active sport horses. The judges at his Keuring were very impressed with Jerke and said that he was a horse that stands out because of his impressive presence. He had very good use of the front legs, and an easy canter that made him stand out amongst the others. He was given an 8 for the canter, which is very rare. This stallion presents himself in every way a good riding horse. He has a lot of balance and has very easy movements. He is a stallion with a modern build and one of the few Friesian stallions that is built upwards. He has much talent as a sport horse. Jerke got 82.5 points for under the saddle and 82.5 for harness and this made Jerke the best breeding stallion for his year.
